The idea for Project 18k9 grew organically from our years running pet supply stores, working in veterinarian practices, and working with animal welfare agencies. We were constantly faced with the challenge of educating clients about the often-hidden truths behind popular, yet nutritionally lacking, dog food brands. Witnessing the confusion and concern of pet owners fueled our desire to offer a more transparent and effective solution for canine nutrition.
The turning point came from the consistent astonishment people expressed upon learning our dog had reached the incredible age of 18 with a clean bill of health his entire life. This firsthand experience demonstrated the undeniable power of quality nutrition and inspired us to share our knowledge and strategies with a wider audience. We knew we could help other dogs thrive.
